Mani Sastry,
hailing from Houston, TX, has appealed to numerous
crowds of music lovers internationally. Mani prides
herself on being a passionate singer and loves being a
part of the professional music scene. She is classically
trained in Carnatic style of Indian music for over 11
years and had her debut performance at the age of 8.
Mani feels that versatility is a crucial part of being a
well-rounded performer. Therefore she continuously
challenges herself by learning and performing in many
Indian languages and various styles of singing. |

Mani also finds personal satisfaction and growth by
teaching Indian music to students of all ages. She lives
with her husband, Dr. Jagan Sastry, a professor of
Immunology at U.T. M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and
their two daughters, Pallavi and Keertana. |
